A different way of doing business…not VC-centric
Serverless vs Frameworks architecture has to be one of the most talked about topics in the office. It’s contentious and sparks massive debate when discussed in open since both architecture types have evangelical proponents - this radicalisation of certain technologies occurs too often in our industry, in our office too, but that’s a topic for another day.
The Polish software outsourcing industry is calling. So we listened and asked, what does this mean for us and our clients? We had to take a trip to understand this region deeper, perform first-hand research, and understand how we can leverage this globally relevant tech region for our teams and clients. The Kool-Aid never tasted so good.
Does it feel like tech employee salaries are doubling every 5 years? Hiring and sustaining tech teams has become extremely expensive and time-consuming, and J. Powel might have a lot to do with it.

I am glad to be back home in Johannesburg, South Africa. Had I stayed in Kyiv any longer, I would have had to go up in pants size fairly soon. If you like food, and I am guessing that most of you do, then you need to get to Kyiv.

This month, we ate Borscht and exchanged jokes with the PYGIO teams in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. Although we adopt a "work-from-anywhere" culture, it was wonderful to meet our teams in person from across Ukraine.
